Over age 55 and looking for work? We may be able to help you.
Easterseals-Goodwill provides paid on-the-job employment services for low-income adults over age 55 in Idaho, Montana and Utah through the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP).
Earn money while you gain skills and experience working at temporary job assignments.
If you are eligible for SCSEP, trained staff will work with you to help overcome employment barriers while you are placed in paid, real-world work opportunities at nonprofits and government agencies, called “host agencies,” in the community.
The goal is to help you learn new skills, update your existing skills and gain workplace experience that can lead to a job with a private employer in your community. Assignments involve about 20 hours per week of work and can range from six to 12 months. During this time you’ll also receive help updating your resume, practicing interview skills, and searching for jobs.
Easterseals-Goodwill works with partners in the community to provide additional training such as updating computer skills, literacy skills, and improving English proficiency. Job leads are also a key component of the services you’ll receive.
